In securing a booking, you confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the camper and have the authority to enrol him/her in one of our programmes.
If there is a reason why a camper cannot or does not wish to participate in any particular camp activity, you should inform us of this in advance.
You are required to provide us with all the information in the requested forms in the parent pack for your child to be allowed to take part in camp. We cannot take responsibility for inaccurate or omitted information provided by you on permission forms.
Any information given by us regarding travel to camp or climate is given in good faith but without responsibility on our part.
In providing us with information on all camp forms, you agree to these details being shared with camp staff and relevant health professionals should an incident occur. Similarly, you consent to information being shared with the UK government, customs and immigration should the need present itself. We ensure that all personal information is kept secure.
All non-British campers are required to have travel insurance and a European Health Insurance Card or similar appropriate health cover. We will collect this on arrival.
Once a deposit has been received, your booking is considered as confirmed and the deposit is non-refundable.
Payments can be made in at least two instalments to the sum of the total price of the camp. Early bird discounts will be deducted from your second instalment. Your outstanding balance will be detailed on each payment confirmation.
You will be sent reminders by email when full payment is due but full payment must be made by the 15th of June 2020 or the camp place and the deposit will be lost.
You may make as many instalments as you like to spread the cost of camp over a longer period of time, however the full price must be paid by the 15th of June 2020.
If you cancel the booking before the 15th of June 2020 and before paying the full balance, you will not be expected to pay anything more. We are not held responsible for costs or arrangement of travel to and from a home airport. We take responsibility for the camper after they come through the arrival airport gates and not before. You must ensure adequate measures are taken for young people travelling alone.
Once international campers have gone through security at the airport on departure day, they again become your responsibility.
International campers must have a valid passport or EU identity card for travel. These can be kept by camp staff for safekeeping on arrival if so desired.
In the unlikely event that the camper seriously breaks the camp rules, your support will be required. In extreme cases, we reserve the right to send the camper home. Full explanations will be given. You will be responsible for arranging alternative travel to get the camper safely home. The camper will be safely accommodated for until the arrangements have been made. In the case of such an extreme rule break, a refund will not be given and costs incurred for alternative transport will not be our responsibility.
We will make every effort to deal with homesickness and there will always be someone the camper can talk too. In the unlikely event that the camper wishes to leave, it will be the parents responsibility to arrange transport home. A refund will not be given.
Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you have carefully considered possible hazards associated with camp including injury, disease or loss of property. In signing the activity permission forms, you agree to the risks associated on the part of the camper. Risk assessments can be found for each adventure activity on Lapwing Lodge Outdoor Centre’s website and all of our activity risk assessments can be seen on request.

It is necessary that campers abide by the rules of any group leader for their safety.
We are not responsible for the loss or damage of any campers personal property throughout their stay. Campers are responsible for their own belongings and we recommend clear labelling and leaving valuables at home.
During camp, we will discourage the constant use of mobile phones and there is limited telephone reception. If you need to get in contact, you can do so by calling the relevant contact numbers for camp staff.
